Ramblings

Hope everyone had a lovely easter. Dave and I and the 2 Boys (Ace and Jack- Dogs) both headed out to parkes to the parent inlaws investment property for renovation rescue. The house is nearly finished its mainly painting jobs and carpet curtain etc. so off we went on Friday morning and returned on monday. nothing too exciting. I only ate about 5 or 6 bits of chocolate, but did eat lots of licorice and spring rolls and mini meatpies for lunch.
I am bloody tired though as the 2 dogs slept on the double bed (not queen that we are used to) with us. bloody spoilt dogs. They were aloud to sleep inside as there is no fences and its on a really busy road. so one cuddle up to me and one on top of dave.
Now to the weight loss stuff. Over the weekend i did one of my week 2 jogs. but i did too much. see it states that you should jog for 90sec intervals broken up with 2 min walks for 20 mins, well if you work it out its 6 times 90sec jog and 6 times 2min walk giving you 21mins, well for some reason i thought it was 7 times so i have done 2 workouts at 7 times being 24mins, oh well at least its more than needed. Ok so in the side bar i have spelt out the cool runnings couch to 5k (or 30mins) of jogging and i have so far completed week 1 and 2/3 of the way through week 2.
Food wise i havent been counting points but i know i am no where near as bad as i was 10 months ago. Occassionally i slip and have some chocolate or chips, but its never as bad as i used to be. I know that i am plateuing at the moment hovering around 82-84kg but the exercise is pretty good. i am constantly exercising at least 3 times a week doing this jogging thing and i know i am losing cm of my body. and at them moment this is what i am going to concentrate on. I have also decided to give up WW for a while. i still have 2 prepaid weeks so i will go this fortnight and next fortnight. and then i have decided to concentrate on getting fit, not the weight. I am getting the shits with little 0.2kg per fortnight so its now to the measurements which i know i am losing faster then the weight.
Well im sure i have bored you all now. thanks for all the great comments. and i have been visiting but been a bit slack on the comments
take care

Couch to 5k

well im sitting here at my parents, dad and dave are out preparing all the stuff for our little wood chopping adventure before coming in for lunch.
I was reading cdb blog about how she is going from couch to 5k and decided i would give this a go to, so yesterday arvy i put on my runners clipped the dogs on their lead and off i went. i have been doing little jogs but there was no way i thought i could run the 8 minutes that the first stage involves. so off i went, walked for about 5 mins to warm up and then i started jogging for 1 min then walked for 90 secs and then i repeated this for 20 mins. and i did it, i ran for 8 x 1min intervals. i felt so good after it. its amazing what exercise can make you feel. I love the line from Legally Blond "Exercise produces endorphins, endorphins make you happy and happy people just dont kill their husbands" I guess dave is safe then.

Well off to have lunch

Weigh in and back on the wagon

Hey all and thanks to those who said lovely things about my little derailment the other day.
I went to Weigh in on Thursday and i lost 0.2kg.
I still want to achieve my goal of 75kg and lucky enough it doest change what i need to get each fortnight i am still aiming at 0.9kg per fortnight or more if i want to get to 69kg.
This is just a quick update as i am now off to move my but and distract my self from food.
Planned today is to
*clean the house - dishes, washing, vacuuming and washing the floors, then if i have time tidy.
*mow the lawn - bonus steps there.
*do the ww fitstrip video
*walk the dogs - take them down to the park to play fetch.

tomorrow i am also off to mum and dads to help chop and stack fire wood so that will be a decent work out.

BRING ON THE 0.9KG LOSS FOR THE FORTNIGHT AND BRING ON THE 70'S
*update*
i just measured my self and since last fornight i might have only lost 0.2kg but i have lost -------------9.5cm - woohoo. Its not all about the loss on the scales yeah
Have a good weekend all

Derailment

Well I usually don’t mention anything in my Blog when I have a bad day, but this time I completely and utterly fell of the wagon and down a huge canyon. Last night I had the shits with something, don’t know what but I then consumed about 20 points more than I should have. I knew what I was doing but just couldn’t seem to stop myself, then I got the shits with myself and went to bed cranky and crying. Hubby got home none the wiser of my little derailment and I was asleep.
I then woke up this morning stood on the scales and it appeared that I have put on about 5kgs. So I burst into tears and had a shit attack that I couldn’t do it anymore, I know I was being silly and that I can do it, but it took my lovely wonderful hubby to sit me down and make me reason with myself.
He came up with a really great way of making me see how far I have come versus how far I have left to go.
If you don’t already know I have lost 23.6kg to date and have 13.1kg to go so I am 2/3 of the way down my journey.
Dave said its like I am driving from Melbourne to Sydney and I have made it to Canberra and I have temporarily got lost on one of there may roundabouts and cant quite find the direction to Sydney.
This is fairly true, the last few months I have a good few days, do some exercise and then half fall of the wagon. Then I get back on and then fall again. Sure enough I am still losing weight and yes I know the little losses make a big loss. I just wish it would all disappear, I know we all would.
So I was going to skip my Weigh in tonight but after encouragement from dave I am going to go and if it is a gain then I know its not the end of the world its not 23.6kg back on.
Thanks for listening and I will still be following my new challenge – read post Sunday 2nd April 2006 (sorry don’t know how to link it)

Well I will post my weigh in tonight regardless if its good or bad

Challenge me Baby

Hey all
Well i have decided to throw a challenge at my self. I have been pretty slack on all fronts. Thinking Eating and Moving, so from today i am putting my self on a challenge.
I really would like to be at or close to goal - Goal being 69kg (top of healthy weight range) and Maximum weight before going to scotland is 75kg, so this means i have to lose a maximum of 13.1kg and a minimum of 7.1kg. I have about 17 weeks to do this or 9 weighins before getting on that plane. Weigh in dates are 6th April, 20th Apr, 4th May, 18th May, 1st June, 15th June, 29th June, 13th July, 27th July - we fly out on the 1st August
So first weigh in in 4 days - not expecting this to be a huge loss as last week food not great and exercise - all though started off with flying colours 2 times walk/jogs but i twisted my ankle so the rest of the week was a wipe out.
So not including this weigh in i then have 8 weigh ins in which to lose a maximum of 13.1kg this equates to about 1.6kg a fortnight. or a minimum of 900grams a fortnight. so i feel i could definatley be between 900g and 1.6kg a fortnight or 450g to 800g a week.
My challenge will consist of the Following - stolen from M and Phillipa back in about January.

Eat
* 22 pts per day until i am under 80kg then only 20 pts per day equating to 154pts per week or 140pts per week - DO NOT EXCEED PTS IN ANY GIVEN WEEK
* Sugar pts not to exceed more than 14pts per week - make sure i stick to this
* Make sure i eat healthy and from all food groups.
* Drink at least 1.5lt - 2lt of water per day.
* Fortunately Diet Soft Drinks and Alcohol are not a problem for me but if i do indulge dont go over the top.

Move
* Walk the Dogs at least 3 times per week - they need to be exercised as well
* Walk in lunch break for at least 30 mins 2 times a week adding small jogs into walk
* WW DVD at least 2 times a week
* Weights and Gym ball at least 2 times a week
* Wear WW pedometer each and every day and do at least 7500 steps 5 times a week

Think
* Be positive every day that i can achieve my goals
* Acknowledge how far i have come and how close i am to goal
* Wake up each day inspired to complete the journey
* Reward my self with praise and gifts to show how far i have come and how far i will go

Please Join me on my new challenge.
I also plan to try and blog at least every few days to update my progress

Thanks once again for every ones support and congrats to all as you are all doing a fantastic job.
